W.F. Johnston Construction, Inc. has been serving the tank industry since 1979, as a civil/foundation subcontractor. We have successfully completed well over 1,500 foundations for a variety of steel structures.
These structures include, but are not limited to, elevated water storage tanks, flat bottom storage tanks and miscellaneous specialty/accessory structures related to petrochemical production and processing.
We have also worked in conjunction with associated subcontractors to facilitate the construction of the tank or its accessories such as cathodic protection systems and foundations for pipe racks.
Geographic Reach
W.F. Johnston Construction, Inc. is responsible for well over 1,500 foundations throughout the upper midwest, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and as far away as Kansas and western Iowa
Key Personnel
Marc Johnston
oversees all facets of the operation of the company. He has worked at the company since 1987 in a variety of capacities. In 1993 he became a Field Superintendent and then transitioned to the role of Project Manager. In 1998 he became the Vice President of Operations, but still worked directly in the field as projects warrant. In 2020 he became President of the company. In his time, he has constructed well over 160 foundations and managed over the construction of at least 600 more.
